Cheryl developed her professional experience as an HR Executive at a variety of companies including American Airlines, Brinker International, Caliber Home Loans and Hudson Americas/Lone Star Funds. This experience has equipped her with an understanding of large, complex, publicly traded organizations as well as fast-paced, entrepreneurial, privately held entities.
This real world HR experience coupled with an M.B.A. gives her the ability to balance reality and theory and bridge the gap between business and people needs. By connecting the dots, she helps individuals whittle away at the issues they directly control in turn leading to meaningful results for the organization as a whole.
Cheryl uses a variety of tools, assessments and experience to assist her clients. Most important is her ability to listen. By getting to know each client on an individual level, she is able to create customized solutions to address the unique situation.
As a native North Carolinian some of the personal values instilled by her family also guide her work:
- Half of life is just showing up. It’s what you do when you get there that counts.
- You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.
- People have an emotional bank account so always make sure your balance exceeds the withdrawals.
- No matter where you go, always leave things better than you found them.
